Hazy

Last week of our term break and as per usual I spent it on unproductive things like going online, updating myself with others lives, reading, eating and yes, eating. What happened to studying C++ and etc.

Okay, I did the laundry.

Monday (October 29)

Almost like impromptu Erika, a high school friend, and I planned a not-so-surprise party for our closest and favorite high school teacher of all time, Ms. Sunshine Barnes. I finished first some errands then waited for more than 2 hours for Erika to meet me. Congratulations to my impatient self, har. Then we bought a half roll of triple chocolate cake since I already bought a gift beforehand. It was messy and hard going to our alma mater because the roads (almost every road in Pasig) are under construction. But stepping out and seeing again my high school it was very nostalgic and I was so giddy (if it wasn't for those guards who killed the vibe!) You know that happy feeling, even if I remember my little self saying "I hate this school. Could leaving here take any longer?" before. Now I regret the fact  that I was itching to grow up fast and leave that little haven of friends and experiences. Because right now I am loathing college, lol. Typical me.

Every time I see a former teacher approaching all I could do is yelp and smile crazily at them. After an hour of waiting again because the guards won't let us enter the premises, using our spy and ninja moves got to the 5th floor faculty room. When Ms. Shine walked through that door I swear, we hugged for like forever with matching squealing sounds. I so love that cool teacher (and I know she loves me too :P) Funny, we still behave like high school students afraid of authority inside the faculty room. Then she entertained us by serving us food that she personally made and updating us with stories. She also told us that her co-teachers are missing Erika and I because there is no one to clean up the dishes anymore, haha. Also, Ms. Shine was cringing at the fact that I gave her a gift which I do not usually do plus we brought a cake! Spending time with her and my other teachers were so fun and heart-warming.

At 6pm, Ms. Shine along with 3 other teachers, me, Erika, Ian and Ken (also high school classmates) went to SM Megamall. She treated us in Tokyo Tokyo and DQ!

During the trip: Sir Roque kept us alive and loud from laughing so hard. His terms, actions and song lyrics are so hilarious. Sample: "I'm Runaway, I'm Runaway, can't get you out of my mind" (in the tune of Katy's Wide Awake, like wth so much) and "I'm forever yours.......... Forever." (OMG, that's Faithfully seriously)

Oreo Cheesecake (this will be so jeje, but thank you missy for my first DQ experience<3)
Side story: I was supposed to meet my 4th year classmates also that day. Since I chose to be with my teacher it wasn't possible. But you know how this universe conspires to make things happen, Sir Schaumburg saw them through the transparent glass panes into Happy Lemon, the store in front of us. Cray cray it is :) They were also there because they just finished watching the movie Sinister. We ended up sharing the last minutes before the happy day came to a stop.

Tuesday (October 30)

Last night I couldn't sleep so I watched some The Big Bang Theory episodes. I was woken up by my Papa telling me to get up already because my brother and I need to go to the dentist. So I hurried even if going to the dentist is very cringe-worthy.  But honestly, I am scared with dental work. Right now I am suffering from too much toothache. My braces are so much tighter now.

Later that day, I talked to my very good friend, Arma, on the phone. We did some catching up and she told me about her would be job as a part time online English teacher. I cheered her up because that would really be a swell task knowing that she is also a second-year college student. But we both know that she can do it. As long as it will be good for her and she will do her best, for sure it will be given. Hwaiting, mi!

Other news: All my grades are posted already. Boasting aside, I am so happy to see the most beautiful grades that I ever had (and hopefully not the last) which was all so embarrassing.

I really hope this will not be the last time that I could have the guts to show my grades. Truth be told, I don't deserve these grades especially my grade in Physics 2. But I am grateful to all my professors who considered my efforts and I am sorry for being a backstabbing bitch some times.

More thanks to my Savior who understood me first and gave all the desires of my heart no matter what.

Wednesday (October 31)

Mama and I went to my sister's school to get her report card. And you know, she's part of the class Top 10. Nice job, sisterett. So mama, for a treat, accompanied us to the mall and we ate at Wendy's. I was assigned to buy my sister shoes because reasons. But we haven't found anything that ~her heart truly desires~ to put it in words. Haha. Then we strolled around and finally went inside Forever 21 (which is for me is off limits) because I needed to check out a dress. There was this one black dress which my mama found. And it was so nice. It has this super pretty cut and silhouette at the seams and little shimmering gems at the middle. I tried it on and my mother already agreed to pay for it even if it is so so so expensive. I turned it down though (but as the saying goes "extreme circumstances call for extreme measures" maybe maybe not.

Since seeing my grades I kept on asking my mother if I could get a new book I have been eyeing for months. I really got first to NBS that time to check out Paper Towns and it wasn't on sale (I love sale! that little discount you can get is so thrilling) so I headed over Powerbooks which was on the other building. Unfortunately, all of John Green's book was there except for Paper Towns. I was so tempted to buy Let It Snow there but I insisted (with myself) not to buy it because it is intended for my Holiday read. Okay, I am so crazy.

See the two book designs of Let It Snow, no?

For our last stop that day, we went again to NBS to finally get my Paper Towns even if it wasn't on sale. But still I managed to get jumpy hugging the book while walking to the cashier. Then my mother, out of the blue, gave me book money! I was really surprised by her action which came with a suppressed emotion of generosity. Thank you, Ma :3

Crazy Fact: I can't buy a book without buying a bookmark.
Desperate moves, I buy a bookmark without a book.
Today

[I woke up with the scariest nightmare. I do not know why I had that kind of dream knowing that I did not watch any horror movie or read whatsoever. Super scary. There were these humans who turn into creatures that have long tongues and they will kill you morbidly. Like there were too much blood! Then there was this crazy part where I, by mistake, made a powerful monster who looked like a human which I thought would help me destroy the other monsters. I couldn't get up from my sleep. I had another one after that. Mother told me, that is my subconscious working because of the season.]

(My stomach) felt like Christmas. Literally, even if I had to do the dishes for like 3x and every time all our kitchen utensils are on the sink. Fiesta ang peg. We had bangus sisig, fried bangus, spaghetti and my favorite veggie quesadilla. All in one day. That is such a luxury already.

I like it slightly burnt

Today was all about food. And re-reading Paper Towns.
Thank you God for everything, luxury or not. I hope I would always be thankful,
remembering all this kind of days.
